Does it work and if so what should I use for my Ford Ranger's massive 2.9 litre V6 /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I run a bottle through each of my injected vehicles (1996 Nissan 300ZX, 2004 Ford F-150, and 2000 Mercury Mountaineer) at least once a year. While not as effective as a professional cleaning...I have seen improvements with these products.

"Couldn't hoit"... The "Techroline" or "Techrolene" is what I've usually dumped into an injected car now and again. Seems to help a bit if things seem "funny" with fuel delivery. Not sure it's really doing much but a better 'first step' than pulling the rail to replace the squirters.

Just don't ever put it in a carburated car. especially one with the foam float. nuff said.

Are these tank additives? I was hoping to not have to pull & replace if I do nto need to. The truck sat for about a month or so and the battery died. I jumped it an let it run for about 15 minutes. When I got in it I revved it a little to blow out some goodies and when I took my foot off the pedal, she started running a little rough. Instead of blowing out some goodies, I figgered I might have jarred sumptin loose causing the off idle.

If a can in the tanks is what this stuff is, it might be worth the couple bucks. I start it once a week and only drive it to the dump or to pick crap up from the Depot that I would not want to throw in the Expedition.

my 02 windstar was running rough and also 87 vw cabriolet, put about 1/3 can of seafoam in through a vacuum line that fed all the injectors while running. Shut it off and let it sit for 15 mins, started it up and blew clouds of smoke out of her and she just runs like a charm and seems to have a bit more oomph, then put the rest of the can in the tank. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
P.S. available at Napa

Yes...come in a plastic bottle designed to fit in the gas fill neck. Entire contents into a nearly empty tank, then fill it up and drive her.....The "good stuff" is a little under $10/bottle if memory serves me correctly, and can be found at any automotive store....

What is the difference between Seafoam and the FIC and what the "H E double hockey sticks" is seafoam?

Best bet is to pull them, and have them professionally
cleaned, after that, use an injector "cleaner" at every
oil change. If you've got more than 100K miles on it,
you're past due for a cleaning/flow testing...

I've got 130K, maybe I'm overdue for something.
