when searching the web last night i saw a pic of a B with the fuel filler in the boot lid and was just wondering if any one has some links to more pic's of this so i can see how it works as i might do it to mine as i dont like where the filler is, any one put or seen then in any other places.

Up front at the fuel pipe outlet, in front of the heater box.
 
Mia Culpa! Read it on a machine with teeny-tiny type: Screen res. is OBVIOUSLY set too high for these old eyes!! GAH!

A lot of the cars with fuel cells (read: racing B's, E-Prod., etc.) use a filler thru the trunklid. Kinda EXTREME for a daily to my mind tho.
 
but then you have folks like Tony who relocate the fuel filler to the side of the boot and stick one of those fancy schmancy racey lookin fuel filler doors on it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

..yeah, but today I went to start my 380SL for first time since last autumn...battery dead & master cylinder empty..no brakes
 
What Tony needs and Jay Leno has is a professional staff to keep things running and clean while he has fun.
 
No kidding! I'll drive her over to my friend's shop Monday after jury duty...checked my records - haven't done anything to battery or brakes since 1999.....it's time.
 
You're gonna be awful busy after jury duty...I hope you get out in time to get to the crusher and get the Merc to the shop...just be careful you don't drop the Merc at the crusher and take the shell to the shop!
