Fuel Bowl Vent

How are you? I am a newbie with a TVR (TR-6) question. I am working on my buddies 1974 TVR w/TR6 & Strombergs. His two fuel bowl vents are tied together. On my identical TVR they are both open to atmosphere. In looking in the Moss catalog it appears that they should be tied together and fed into some sort of vapor canister. Since our cars have no vapor recovery system, which way is right? The car seem to run fine either way. Thanks in advance for your help!

Bruce, you can run them vented to the atmosphere with no problem, just like the pre emissions cars ran.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how his car ran with them connected together and not being vented at all.
