Does anyone have a part number on front wheel studs for the TR4-TR6 that can be sourced from NAPA, carquest or any of the ther national parts carriers?

I was wondering if there are alternatives. I can't imagine our's are that different from the hundreds available for all other makes and models.

Thanks. I tried several local shops today on my lunch break. The last shop I tried pointed me to NAPA as well. I'll try them on Friday.
They really look like a 70s chevy wheel stud, but I can't remember from what model. I remember once when I was looking for a fuel pump for my '58 TR3, I found a chevy fuel pump that was an exact match. About half the price of a TR pump from moss too.

Greg, Last spring I replaced all of my front wheel studs. I took an old one down to a local Carquest and they matched it up after measurig it. Good NAPA's should be able to do it too. I'll see if I can find the receipt for those studs from Carquest though to get you part number.

Ok found it. I used Dorman wheel studs, Part# DOR 610-173, they were $1.86 each when I bought them from Caquest.

I picke up my wheel studs from Carquest today. They are the 610-173 part number but they are 1/2"-20 thread vs the 7/16"-20 originals. They also have a much longer shank that would require a shouldered lug. Are you sure this was the art number?
The knurl diameter mics the same as th original so I know I could press them in, but I would now be using a different lug as well.

I suppose they could have put in a wrong number (at my local store) but those are the numbers that are on my reciept. My lugnuts spun right on. That should at least get you close.
They should be able to use their books to now find the right thread pattern if those have the right knurl diameter and are the right length. Your 2/3 of the way there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
