Well, I finally finished rebuilding the rear suspension in my TR6 after a number of months. I was excited to finally take it in for a four way allignment this morning. When I went to pick it up this afternoon I was told that it could not be alligned because it had bad upper ball joints, bad inner and outer tie rod ends, and bad upper control arm bushings. I do not understand what the upper control arm bushings are - is there a different name for these bushings? I can't find these under this name in any of the online catalogs. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Kevin

upper ball joint is what connects the top of the vertical link to the end of the top A arm (upper control arm). upper control arm bushings are on the other end of the A arm where it pivots on the fulcrum pin. there are lower control arm bushings that do the same thing. all are bushed pivot points for suspension movement.
there are also bushings where the trunion mounts to the lower control arms.

material for the bushings vary from rubber to urethane.

I dont't have a moss catalouge for the 6, but if you have the new tr4 catalouge or online at ( www.mossmotors.com), look on page 42, items 4 and 5 (top) and 104 (lower), 93, 94, 95, 96 for trunion.

hope this helps

I think you'll find them refered to as "bush" in the catalogs. Check out Moss part #660-998.
