Front suspension up-date

The front suspension is starting to go back together. That is provided that I don't create anymore distractions like drilling and welding oil pan fittings.

By Friday, the balance of the front end should all be done as well as the brakes all around. More to follow on the new TRF uprated front stub axles by Friday.

Re: Front suspension up-date

thats really nice! the only work my suspension has seen so far is a putty knife and wire brush for the grease.

Re: Front suspension up-date

Sail,

It all starts somewhere. Look at my suspension pictures on my website and see what we took off getting off ready for POR15.

Re: Front suspension up-date

Brosky I took a look. I get all excited seeing a pile of parts. I'm still driving as this is my first summer with the car but it's supposed to snow this weekend and I have that TRF Xmas catalog............

Schweeeeet, Paul !!!!

What's that red stuff inside the trunnion?

I forget. Did you clear coat the brass after
polishing it?

Where ya been hiding Soup?

Re: Front suspension up-date

The red stuff is Mobile One Synthetic chassis and wheel Bearing grease.

Did not coat brass, just cleaned up a little with Brasso. They can age gracefully from here on in to retirement.

Say, you wanna come on up to Canada and do up my 64 El Camino suspension? I got all the parts, just need time to put them on. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif
Dave
P.S. looks really nice, keep up the good work and you and Dale will have the best looking TR6s top and bottom /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Re: Front suspension up-date

Dave,

Once it's all done under there, it will not be seen by me until it's time to change the oil again.

After looking at some of the old bushings today, I can see why it did what it did over bumps. It should be nice and tight after this and that's what I wanted in the first place.

Or as my buddy Kodanja in CT says: The first 2008 TR6 to hit the roads. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif
