Front Suspension Geometry

Hello

I am trying to check the front suspension geometry on my BT7 as there has been quite a bit of work on the front end of my car however the workshop manual is pretty vague about dimensions. Can someone let me know what the distance is supposed to be between the shock towers, and between the lower wishbone pins so I can check these?

Thanks

Myles

Myles - PM me, I have a pdf I can send you.

My apologies for digging up such an old post. I have a similar request for this measurement. Can anyone give accurate measurements between the shock tower mounts? I have many measurements and have found that it is best to check with as many different ways, and when they all agree, then weld.

Well, all but one. All the workshop drawing can tell you is where the centerline of the mount is from a fore/aft perspective. None of the doc I have ever seen tells me what the bolt hole to bolt hole dimension is. The best one can discern for left/right position is the inside mount plate to mount plate is the same 23"as outside of the frame rails.

Assuming all aftermarket mount plate dimensions are accurate, that's all I need, but that seems like a scary assumption. I know I've seen jigs to maintain the proper separation, but never any dimensions.
