I'm replacing a plastic fan with the stock steel one. I'm not seeing the old 1/8th inch line-up hole that the factory manual says was used to assure balance, and I'm not sure which side of the mounting face of the fan extension to which I'd fasten the balancer. Any ideas or suggestions?
 
The balance weights are fitted "as required". If there is no hole, the factory may have found that it didn't need weights. At any rate, the only way to know without the hole is to rebalance the unit.
