Nice! That was the car I wanted as a kid.

My wife drove a saffron yellow 73 13 yrs to work. This one was originally damson red, under carpets show it. Just put oil in cylinders, has the original spark plugs.

Right now, another project. Would like to get it started but have floorboards in one car, full restoration on Jag and my daily drivers need maintenance. RV needs generator put back in and check refrigerator, and boat needs tank cleaned and carbs rebuilt. Kind of mother in law got in the way and out my way behind, but with warmer weather hoping to get a jump on everything. So, it'll stay n trailer for a while. Was a little overpriced but 42 yrs in one spot and low miles I grabbed it. It has some minor rust along drivers side. Raccoons and mice inside. Vacuumed out today and bagged carpet, put oil in cylinders, it is locked, so letting soak with weasel pee, try later.

Must admit to the same. But an MGB came along which was more affordable for this eighteen year old about to start college.

I biught the wife one in 1976.a 1973 for $2K, bought this for too much but really fdid not want to pass up, not a whole lot of them for sale. Especially close.

The purchase is not hard to understand. I've not seen one up for sale around here for decades.

I'd congratulate ya but I know the amount of WORK you've got ahead of you! šŸ˜‰

I'll just say: "well done."

I remember going to the car show at the NYC Coliseum and laid eyes on the car. One of those scantily clad models gave me a poster of GT6. Had it hanging in my room.
No Farrah Fawcett poster…. The car was obtainable one day but no chance of getting Fawcett

Back in the 60s we had a Chrysler dealer that sold British Cars. My wife would walk by and stop to look at the cars and the salesmen invited her in to see the new ones. They would let her guide the car into place as the shoved to set up the showroom. To this day my wife will not say NO to a British Car. It is why we have 2 Jags, 2 Land Rovers and 2 MINIs. At this time, Triumph 1.
