TR2/3/3A Free TR3 today

I was just given a free TR3 today. It is a 1960 that has been sitting covered by a tarp for the last 20 years. small dents in the front and back and it is painted a metalic Brown, Similar color to an old Mustang, but the color and finish is bad. So far, I can just tell you it smells like cat [censored], has 1 inch shag carpet, Looks like the interior has had some alterations. I don't know about the motor and transmission.

Decisions, decisions. To restore it or part it out. I guess, I will really have to see how much rust is really on the frame and body.

Jerry cheap TR3's must be coming out of the wood work. I recently picked one up for $500. If you part the car out, I need some seats. If you plan to restore it I have some panels that can be used for patches if you need them. I'm not too far, about an hour south of Sacramento..

We got it home and I opened the hood. It took a screwdriver to do it. the pins were rusty. Quite a storage of nuts in the battery box. Engine looks like it is all there. The car has so many spiders on it, I sprayed a gallon of insecticide into the fenders and around the engine. I will let it sit for a week or so and see if they depart. It has three minor dents to fix. A few rust spots in the sills that I can see so far.
By the way, I am an hour north of Sacramento, so maybe we can trade some parts!

I must say this is the uglist paint job I have seen in a while. Ugly color and finish.

I was showing one of our club members the car and noticed that the seats are not original. Looks like they have a head rest! I also note the odometer shows 23399, so there must be over a 100K on the car. The interior is a mess with the 1 inch shag carpet and the 20 years of accumulation of nuts and spiders.
