i have what i think is an entire intake/exhaust assembly for a newer mgb. single zs carb, catalytic converter and air cleaner assembly. it came tossed in the parts pile with my '73 mgb-gt. i won't use it. don't know its mechanical condition, but appears to be all there.

free for shipping costs. first person to pm gets first chance.

You've got a PM - I collect ZS carb stuff!

thanks, i thought you had enough stuff to keep you busy already.

I'm collecting all the ZS stuff I can find...but, if anybody "NEEDS" it, they should get it as I just "WANT" it.

Tony reminds me of the old saying, "Save your Confederate money, boys, the South's gonna rise again!"

He seems to think there is going to be a run on smog gear.

There are lots of cars out there that came with single carbs and MANY of them have been retrofitted to other set-ups. If the feds ever mandate a correction back to OEM Tony will be waving at us from the back seat of a Mercedes limo! On the other hand his kids might be staring at his huge pile of Stromburgs one day asking themselves why Dad saved all this crap. LOL

The feds don't need to mandate anything. Just enforce existing laws. Altering ANY emissions equipment on ANY car in the US is a Federal violation regardless of whether or not your local government requires any sort of emissions inspection. The laws are there, the enforcement is not.

Doesn't make it legal (you can still be prosecuted for it), but a LOT would have to change to force the Feds to start requiring all states and their subsequent counties/parishes to fully enforce Federal Emissions statutes. Which I guess would be a mandate. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Not saying that I am guilt free myself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif but I have kept what I need to convert back if needed.

Hehe, Bugeye meets all Federal Emissions statutes.

Is the ZS intake/exhaust a one piece thing?

yep

I thought so.

it appears to be. single zs carb, some kind of air filter with a flap on it. attached catalytic converter. hot water choke mechanism... my b-gt is a chrome bumper version with two su carbs so i'll never use it. i figure pass it on for the good will help i get through the forum. somebody someday will have a part i absolutely need and can't find or advice on something i can't figure out on my own.
