Not sure how many people check the classifieds, so...

I have a gas tank that's free to a good home. It sure ain't pretty and she'll need some boiling TLC before installing, but the price is a whopping $0.

There's no holes. It ain't that bad.

I would prefer to sell locally. Give me a shout if you're interested.

What year is it from? I need a gas tank. Some moron (aka me) dented mine with a jack. If you can't sell it locally, I will pay you to ship it to me.

Thanks.

Do me a favor guys. Can one of you get me an accurate depth measurement from the lip of the tank where the sender mounts with the screws to the very bottom of the tank where it is kind of rounded out for the sender float to fit ? I would like to see the full length of float travel without finding another tank. I am setting up to calibrate a sender to a gauge for drew and I would like that info is someone has it, just to make things a bit more accurate and allow for a bit of reserve on the bottom end if I can. I don't want it to read gas when there is none.

Morris,

I still have the replacement tank box from my VB, so it should fit in there like a glove. I'll try to get a shipping quote for you this weekend.

Regularman,

Shouldn't be a problem. I'll measure the tank and I'll also measure the sender since it's not in the new tank, yet.

It's supposed to be warm this weekend, so hopefully I don't get distracted. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

The later one holds more gas. I can't remember how much but I think they will still bolt up and fit no matter which one. Its hard to find one with the correct vent pipe and all for the earlier model, so just use the unvented and it will work.
