Ok, any suggestions on the best way to prep the frame on my GT6?
Should I sand blast it, or use a wire brush, or what.

Also, where can I get info on the colors of paint etc.

Do it use standard frame black? Or did triumph have a specific color...many thanks ahead of time!!!

Mike, I sandblasted mine, and then used 3 coats of 2 part epoxy primer, (PPG DP-40), then shot three coats of PPG Deltron on it. In spots, such as the emergency brake cable guides, I used an airbrush to ensure that I got every bit of exposed metal covered.
The frames were painted the same color as the body, so my frame is white. At least the Mk I's were body color, and I'm pretty sure the GT6+ was the same.
You should have a paint code on the commision tag. (ie mine is 19, Old English White.) Any decent paint supply house should be able to mix the correct formula to match the paint code.
