frame differences

the only major difference is in the rear suspension. Yes you can put a BJ8 body on a BJ7 chassis. the only other difference is the welded on returns for the dash board. If you have a phase II car, everyone will know that it has an incorrect frame though.

what was the break point for phase I to phase II? I'll have to get another look at the BJ8 for the commission number but I've got a solid BJ7 chassis but the body is shot. The BJ8 the body is ok but frame is shot. Are there any sources for new frames so I could have the correct one?

There are many options for a new frame. Jule Enterprises in Canada, Kilmartin in Australia, but available in Iowa, AH Spares and SC Parts in England. A google search will find all of these. They each have their pro's and con's.
