I also posted this to the Standard Motor Club online forum. The quote is verbatim, but names and such have been deleted to protect the clueless. Note in particular the second sentence.

It's from an online ad for a <span style="font-style: italic">"Triumph TR-10 Estate. This is for those of you who do not know the Triumph story: When Triumph was in the motorcycle business and wanted to get into the car business in the early 50's, Triumph purchased the Standard Motor Car Company. The Standard 10 became the Triumph 10 or TR-10. The estate is a delightful, small wagon. This car is complete and in need of restoration...You do not see these in the midwest. Perhaps you do not see them much anywhere."</span>

Frustrating, when the truth is so readily available from a number of verifiable and reliable sources. But, that might require some thought and the ability to read and assimilate information.

Off topic, sorta, but in my search to find the above add I came across this listing on ebay.

Were it not for the gaurantee of instant annihilation by my wife, I would go for this in a heartbeat! Maybe I can convince her that with the new baby we now need a convertible with room for THREE...or more...

Ah, the internet.

Never before in history have millions of people been able to share so much information - or mis-information - with millions of others.

And as a student of mine once said: "I saw it on the internet - so it must be true!"

Onward through the fog.

O.O wow! If I had more room in my garage I would be all over this! The quote of "Chinese Headlights" is rather funny. The engine looks superb and I love the large back seat.

Go for it; you know you want it, and the "room for THREE...or more..." is a great rationale!

Definitely a sweet ride, even bone stock!
