I wonder how it would run since the carbs mounted upside-down.

That's priceless! Since a picture is worth 1000 words, here ya go!

Good start for the day...LOL

That is just too much. And yep I did laugh out loud.

I had to tell the guy about the upside down carbs, that just kills me.

I think that is the first time I have ever seen a pair of up-draft carbs!! Hmm...throttle=cable action would be interesting with that set up!
Wonder why the bonnet hinges aren't bolted up, and there is certainly some interesting routing of the hydraulic lines!! Someone REALLY knew what they were doing on this one, eh?

Just put in stonger springs will work fine, oh wait what about the jets and float bowl!, maybe this is why they don't use SUs on stunt planes.

Found the actual auction, it does have the original radio box, which is getting hard to find, and in fact many spridget guys I have talked to claim it to be a mythical thing, but there it is.

I saw all that too, but looks like a fairly solid starting place, at least in comparison to a lot I have seen for a lot more $.

He put a disclaimer on the auction saying he knows the carbs are upside down, so stop with the emails or something similar. Apparently, they were not on the car so he had his hired hand put them on to sell it... I hope the hired hand isn't a mechanic... :confuse:
