finally found some time to work on the B, garage has been cleased out by son moving, so i have room to move now, being in florida means no real winter, so this weekend im delving in! i know it runs, so the first to go is the stromberg, in favour of the dual su's and a nice exhaust header, clean up under the hood and find out where all those wires hanging )

pull the drivers seat - makes it easier to get up under the dash because you can lay o your back (& you might find a bit of change!)

yeah, im here with the mouse! while i seem to have some attention, i roemved the seat yesterday, and am a little concerned about their mounting, the floors have been replaced, not too long ago by the looks fo them, but the seats are just bolted to the sheet metal of the floor, im sure something is missing, a cross member or something?, any help would be greatly appreciated

wow, ok, good to know that my backside is inches from the ground protected only by a pieace of what doesnt appear to be too much thicker than tin foil

Darren, the seats -should- be bolted into welded nuts in the floorpan. 1/4"x 28 TPI. There should also be some "potmetal" thick spacers (like washers, about 1/2" thick and a wood strip of equal thickness with some holes in it under each rail, locating the washers. If you don't have the captive nuts on the pan, I suggest "NutZerts" or equivqalent to anchor the seats.


EDIT: The front two anchor points are inside the crossmember rail, so there's no way to put a nut on them from beneath, BTW.
