Hey guys, long time no-post here!!
(thought maybe a few of you might like to hear about this  )

So I went out to check-out a hot-rod show today with the kids, and of all things, happened to find/see my "ex-klutz" white TR7 coupe. Ironically, she now belongs to the nephew of a tech that works in my shop!!! (small world eh!)

The right rear frame rail/floor is now repaired, and apparently the car passed provincial inspection with only a few other minor repairs required (under 2000$ bucks of total repairs according to the uncle)

Felt real good to know that the car is now in good hands, as I had feared the car would end up being parted out, as I heard rumors of the car changing hands a few times since I sold it last year.........

Unfortunately my digi cam had other plans today, and refused to let me record any memories of the show....think a new cam is in my near future [;)]

the last pic....

Anybody else ever run into one of their old cars ???
(mine chance encounters have been very few and far between....)

It's always nice to catch up with an old friend!

I ran into an old car of mine once. My first car was a 1982 Toyota Celica GT which was passed down to my little brother when I needed to upgrade to a fullsize truck at the time. My Dad told me about my brother blowing up the Toyota by trying to pull Mom's 1984 Dodge 1500 Van with it. Dad ended up donating the car to the kidney foundation, and when I went to visit home one time, we needed to pick up a wheel for my brother's new car. We went to our local pull-a-part place, and there was my old Toyota sitting on top of a pile of junk cars. If all the glass hadn't been broken out, and the car hadn't been beat around while it was there, I would have probably paid the 50 bucks or so for the car on a salvage title, and dropped a new 22r motor in it.

My dad had a 58 MGA that he bought new and courted my mom in, but had to sell it a few years later when they moved to Germany for six months for some medical training. Years later my dad was skiing up at Tahoe and in the singles line for the chairlift. He got to talking to the guy he got paired up with on the lift and and it turned out this was the same guy that had bought my dad's MGA! The guy said it was the best car he ever owned!

A guy in our local British Car Club sold his '62 Sprite in '65 and bought it back three years ago. The engine still had his rebuild marks on it!!

Ron, that is fantastic. I was thinking of her yesterday as a matter of fact. Glad it got the attention and repair it needed to keep it on the road. Gets kind of boring driving a convertible MGB all the time.
Please keep me posted on if it comes up for sale again. (Don't tell my Wife though)

This is my favourite picture:

hey Paul!

I was so happy to see the car running, I had to come over here and let you know!!!

The car still looks fantastic, to bad it had to be one of those cars that got away, you don't know how much I really wanted to keep her.....
Who knows, maybe the car will go back on the block one day, I must remember to tell the uncle that if it does, I want first dibs !!!!

I 've got many more pics of the car, but can't for the life of me figure out how to link them here....

-and Btw, the hubcaps are now living on the silver dhc for a bit
