I have a had a few ask if I can see about having a few of the front tilt bracket sets made for them. I haven't found out exactly how much it is going to cost because the price will be lower if I have multiple sets made. Basically these will be the same set that I have on my car except made out of steel. I figure a good powder coating and they are good to go. The regular steel will bring the cost down considerably. I had mine made from stainless and now realize that stainless is not necessary. Ahh, but they were free to me!

How about a pic of yours if you can.

I made mine out of stainless for the same reason. I sold the extra set on ebay. Stainless is hard to machine. If I made another set I would certainly use steel and powder coat.

BTW, speedwellengineering sells sets made from aluminum but they are a tad on the expensive side.

This is a DIY project that does not require welding. They can be made with a hacksaw, drill, and file.

Yup, I agree.

But a machine shop with the proper tools can make them perfect--especially the slide.

True. Try emachineshop.com , it is a neat little service and sometimes can be cheaper than a local shop. They could water jet those cuts.

The slide was the easy part. Just needed to get them in the vice straight, use top of vice as a guide for the file. I ended up using 3 1/8" pieces of aluminum stock that I bonded together with some JB Weld to build the large bracket. So far so good. Easier to bond together and work on as one large piece. Had trouble finding a piece of 1/4" aluminum.
