Forum Speed?

I had a member email me and complain that the forum is painfully slow for them since the upgrade. They are using DSL as their internet access. The forum seems fine to me, but I was wondering how it is for the rest of you? It sounds like a local carrier issue (limited bandwidth betweeeen them and my server) but I could be wrong. What are the rest of you experiencing?

It works just fine for me...... have not had a problem.

Sounds like an issue on their part.
Hope they can repair it.

They said no other forums have this speed problem, but it could be a cache problem maybe. They use DSL but not sure how far they are from their connection. I know that distance from teh connection is a big factor (or can be) with DSL. Works great if your close, but not so great as you get further away from teh main access.

I have access through cable and I haven't noticed any change in speed either way. Still pretty derned fast.

Basil;

I have been on at home, and then, at my office in London, Ontario.
There is no speed problem at either place.
So it goes across the border well.

Dave :banana:

Basil, I have DSL and if anything it seems faster now. There have been a few times when it loads very slow but I expect it is at a time when there are several people sending or receiving.

It is much slower with DSL than it was when I had a T1 line. Wonder why? :wink:

If it means anything at all;

Generated in 0.025 seconds in which 0.001 seconds were spent on a total of 13 queries. Zlib compression enabled.

No problems here.

Fast as ever

I have access through cable (Road Runner) and I haven't noticed any change in speed either way.
Had one problem a few days ago with only being able to get the announcenents page. Killed it and reloaded the site and all was good again.
