Had a bit of a surprise just now. I went to search the MG forum ("search this forum"), and in the blank search field appeared something I'd searched recently only in Google on my browser (Opera).

I'd cleared the browser history prior to my BCF search.

Two questions: Is BCF somehow using (finding and/or recording?) browser search data?

How can I clear my BCF search history?

Thanks.

That doesn't happen to me. No idea. Don't "think" the forum maintains search data on the server. If so I was unware. AS I say, that doesn't happed for me so souds like something being retained on your end. Not 100% sure about that, only know what you describe isn't happening for me here.

OK - I think we're back to normal.

For years I'd been clearing the browser history (and using CCleaner) once a week. Today (boing!) I discovered that clearing the history has no effect clearing search history. So I found in Settings how to clear *all* browser history bits. Now the old searches don't appear in the browser - or in BCF searches.

Merry Christmas!
