What else would STP mean to most of us here?
I have no idea who the stone temple pilots were?
Jet pilots?

They are a grammy-winning alternative/grunge rock band. I have a couple of their albums in my iTunes collection. But I'm one of those weirdos who likes music from many genres and many periods - even current.

I remember the stone temple pilots now that Bas mentions them, but haven't even thought about them in 10 yrs or so.
( which I've noticed happens a lot lately with old bands, resurfacing for one reason or another ). It's always kind of a bright surprise when a memory of an old band percolates to the top of my frontal lobe ( kind of like finding a $20.00 bill in the pocket of a pair of pants , I haven't worn for awhile)

wonder who & why they came up with the name anyway.

Frankly, I'm floored!!! I figured a few people knew of STP and fewer still of Scott Weiland, but not you!!! My respect for you just shot up. STP is one of my favorite bands and is listened to often on my phone.:encouragement:
