Blue Angels just went into MacDill AFB. AirFest 2010 this weekend... even on final they were in tight formation. Not due to perform 'til Saturday but nobody could say they're not on stage every minute they're in the air.

...showoffs... :jester:

Stunning.

I spent part of my childhood near Lakehurst.

Back them we saw them in A4s at altitude > 500 AGL right over my folk's house. Broken windows/glass not uncommon.

For a 13 year old kid....Ăśber cool!

~Here's One~ with some low BA action.

Of course, ~this one~ ,with Alan deCadenet, is my favourite low pass.

I think the A4s were the best. I saw the first show they did with the F18s and...I still like the A4s better.

But... a couple of years ago I was at Epcot and heard airplanes. I looked around then boom there were the Thunderbirds, I'd guess at 1000ft maybe in formation with the smoke on. Made one heck of a noise. No announcement about it before or after.

Believe it or not most of the people walking around never even looked up!

Just more evidence most folk think Situational Awareness means their phones are set to vibe AND ring when a text message is received... :madder:

I just hope they don't get in MY way if/when anything REALLY nasty happens.

Uh.... Nooooo... They walk around the amusement parks with those stupid bluetooth earplug things hanging off their ears.

Ok. I know, I know. There are exceptional circumstances where someone is trying to combine work with play, etc. But seriously - when you're standing in line at "It's a Small World" and you see a half dozen guys with their families and they're talking non-stop on their phones through wireless headsets, it's just a little too much. Not to mention what the people on the other end must be thinking hearing the constant "It's a small world" droning on and on in the background

We got to see the Blue Angels at the graduation
week at the Naval Academy in '05 & '06 (somehow got-
VIP area tickets).Impressive, especially when you see
them coming,& other people don't.It was fun to watch
their reactions.
It was reall cool to see the do a fly by,just
feet (inches)at the stadium during graduation.

Every year here in Chicago is the Air and water show and one of the teams puts in an appearance on a rotating basis - Blue Angels one year, Thunderbirds the next, etc. I used to work down town and it was a kick when they are doing their practice runs and the sonic booms echo off the various buildings. I would hear the approaches and the departures and look up searching between the buildings trying to catch a glimpse. It's also pretty cool to be at the lake front and have the teams and the big planes - one year a B1 put in a appearance - come in low above the water along the lake front. When the weather cooperates it's a good show.

I spent 1950-54 living in a two storey house 40' from the seawall in Neptune Beach, FL. Jax Beach for those who wouldn't know where Neptune is. I could look out the window and look DOWN on the low pass guys from Mayport and Jax Naval Air flying P51's, F6F, F9F, Corsairs, Skyraiders, etc., and helicopters. Those guys all had to grab some alitude to clear the pier at Jax Beach.
Had an F9F Cougar come up behind me while walking down the beach and knock me down with the pressure wave. Never heard him coming. What a great time and place to be a kid!

No,it really means "I'm PO'd" at the idiot
using one!
Today I saw a girl walking - & NOT talking on her phone.
I swear it's true!
