I just watched a video I had forgotten I had, called the mini goes racing '61-'67. Not all minis but anglia's rapiers,jags,cortinas, A40's, rileys and lots more including God forbid-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FORD GALAXIE'S
Great footage from some of the tracks around the UK. Now to watch autocross '60's style from '66&'67.
 
I owned a 67 Galaxie 500. I can't imagine autocrossing one of those.
 
strictly racing for the galaxies (and in the wet)shudder
 
Still...... that thing was a hulk. but it sure went like stink. 390 with an Autolite 2100 2BBl Varoooom! Never felt like it needed the 4BBL.
 
Those big old Fords were popular for Brit road races in the 60s and they are still pretty popular in the current vintage classes in the UK and Australia.
Funny, but you rarely see them in US vintage races.
