I had two Slant 6 cars - the 69 Dodge Dart hardtop and after it got totalled on New Years Eve when parked, a 1973 Plymouth Gold Duster. Front fenders rusted out and blew a head gasket that I replaced myself with help of a strong neighbor.

You've driven quite a few I haven't - E-Type Jags, Lotus, Jensen, TR4 (sat in one but never drove), TR4A, TR7, Koreans, BMWs, Karmann Ghia (had trouble seeing out of it), MR2, others...Oh yes - I forgot Mercury Capri (the Aussie sports car-rented one in Florida and got soaked in a rainstorm couldn't get the top up and even then, it leaked) and Nissan Sentra (rented). I've sat in lots more but never driven - Armstrong-Siddeley Star Sapphire, Peerless (had a neat window mechanism that lowered window just by moving a lever), Jensen Healey, Swallow Doretti, Tesla, Jaguar sedan, Rover (brother in law had one. Miserable car), Mercedes 450 SL(brother's), AC Ace, Karmann Ghia, VW Golf, maybe others. Also drove a Corvette.

You certainly have some fun ones on your list, I have ridden in a couple T series MGs, including a pre-war TB, but never driven one, Arnolt Bristol, Lancia, lots of good ones.

My dad had a couple Renault's, he never said much about the Dauphine, but loved the R8, I was too young to ever drive one and have never driven a French car or owned an Italian, would like to.

I would also love to drive or even own a Daimler SP250, but don't know if that one will ever happen.

Not as many as most of you.
British: Bentley W12, AM DB9, XK120, XK140, AH3000, MGA, MGTD, TR3, Prefect E93A*, Prefect 100E, Anglia.
German: 300SL, 300GullWing, SLS, 190SL*, 220SE*, 450SE*, 280SL, 170Va, 190E, VW Beetle*, BMW 2002, 3.0CS, Z3, Porsche 928.
Swedish: Volvo PV544*, Volvo 240, Saab93, Saab9.3*.
Italian: Lancia Beta, Fiat 124 coupe*, 124 Spyder*, 128, X1/9, Alfa GTV, Maserati 3500, Ferrari Dino.
Japanese: Subaru WRX, Honda Civic, 240Z.
Have not driven my Sprite yet but soon maybe.
* = owned.

Lancia Beta. Interesting.
Here's a question for all who answered (and anyone else who may have driven foreign or exotic cars). If you had your choice of any car you've driven (a) as a daily driver, and (b) as a weekend, fair weather country roads car, what would they be? For me: daily driver - my 2018 Subaru Legacy. Weekend warrior - Porsche 911. (I hated the 928).

I love my current daily driver, a 2002 Lexus IS300, still has analog controls and dash, hugely comfortable seats, very reliable and very well built, cold AC and heat that warms up very fast and gets very warm. Taught handling but nice ride and a little snarl when you rev it. Not too small, not to big (about the size of a new Civic or Corolla). I am going to be the little old man we remember from our childhood that drove a 20 plus year old car in great shape.

For weekend toy the Healey 100, somehow classy and relaxed yet sporty at the same time. Put a smile on my face every time I drove it or looked at it in the garage. Special, but not too fancy to enjoy a spirited drive.

For a daily driver it would be hard to turn down that Bentley. The fun car is harder though. That Dino would sure be fun but for both these I am dreaming of course. My 124 Spyder was a great fun car but maybe I should pick my Sprite that is still being built.

Someone asked me for a picture of my Datsun 280ZX. I dug out the only 2 I have. Also took pix of some other bygone cars. I'll post as many as I can. Quality is none too good.Datsun 280ZX.jpgDatsun 280ZX1.jpgAudi Quattro 1986.jpgBeetle 1964.jpgMercedes 220SEb.jpgMG Before1.jpgPorsche 1957 356.jpgPorsche damage-right side.jpgRabbit1.jpg

I can beat ya! life long mechanic. 3years in a vintage shop specializing in LBCs, 5 years in an independent garage and 9 years at a Toyota dealer. not to mention personal cars.....
Here's a off the top of my head list, many are multiples. Triumph 2-3-3A-3B-4-4A(owned a solid axle, drove an IRS or two)-250-6. Somehow never drove a 7 or 8. MG TC-TD-TF-A-A mkII-B-BGT-Midget. Austin Healey 100m 3000 Sprite (Bugeye and Mk2) Jaguar KX120 roadster- E-type roadster, coupe, 2+2- MK VIII- MKII-XJ6-1958 Bentley- Porsche 356 coupe, Karman body, S- 911 Targa- 912 coupe- 944. VW Thing-Beetle coupe-Bay window bus (currently own),-Vanagon-Type 3 fastback- Rabbit-Cabriolet-Passat- Audi A3 Wagon-A4 wagon- BMW 325-525-318is-Z3-Z4-Mercedes Benz 300d 300TD (lots including grease car conversions) and some newer ones I don't remember the designation of. Renault LeCar, Alliance- Fiat 124-850Spider (hated it!) Ferrari 308-London Cab- Classic Mini- New Mini- Daimler SP250- Mazda R100, Miata, 323,626, -Datsun 240Z, Fairlady 2000 solex, Subaru Loyal (several), Legacy(several) Lots of Nissans, Hondas, and of course Toyotas/ Lexus. I'm sure I'm missing some here. This was may favorite part of being a tec. getting to drive all sorts of different cars. I gotta say that modern German cars are some of my favorite to drive, but least favorite to work on. Old british cars are the most fun to tinker with. Air cooled VWs are right up there too. Cheers!!!

Kinda for Doc. I saw this nice specimen at my favorite coffee shop the other day. I think this was on your own list.20210210_160644.jpg

Yes it is, sir. I've had three iterations of the coupe, the 1750 cc engined one is by far my favorite. That one appears to be the last of the ones shipped Stateside. 2-litre with SPICA injection. Great cars. Unfortunately they've been recognized as such and the values have gone sky high now.

Photos all show fine for me.

(Just sayin' ... you have to be logged in to BCF to see most photos. Just sayin'. Also, some sites prevent the "linking" of photos from their site to another site. )
