I had a T9 5 speed installed in my Herald and am searching for a gear shift knob and boot that fits. An M10-1.5 bolt screws on well on the top of the great shaft. Thanks for any recommendations as to a source for these items.
 
Ebay might help you here - with Ms Triss I ordered a white cue ball with the shift pattern in it - closest I could find to a Hurst shifter and very cheap. when it came, it came with a selection of adapters to mate the thread of the ball to the thread of the shift lever.
