TR6 For those looking for a restored TR6, your answer

Wow! Is that all. At that price I will take 2. Have to stock up when you find a deal like that.

Re: For those looking for a restored TR6, your ans

That's crazy! And the seller has 100% feedback!

Re: For those looking for a restored TR6, your ans

Interesting marketing technique, i sell, you buy pay me, THEN I restore. Hafta remember that one.

Re: For those looking for a restored TR6, your ans

Just how far off is the seller's asking price if indeed he does a first class job of restoring the car, overdrive transmisson, and engine, and throw in a factory hartop? What would it cost to have someone do the work here?

Start adding it up and you will be surprised...

Howdy Folks,

WOW; Have I missed the boat (Literaly)! Out of all the cars I`ve sold on ebay; 99% of them I made avail. only stateside.

All I can say is; The next time I put a car up for sale on ebay; I`m surely going to make it avail. to the "Aussies"!!

They are freakn` crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

Ray,

I never said it was a "bad" deal.........

Of course, I never said that it was a good deal either. It's just the before pics are awful and the afters look like something clipped from a TR6 ad of the 70's.

Maybe it's a great opportunity....Caveat Emptor

I don't know either, but looking at my receipts, I wonder. But then again, maybe it is a Nigerian scam....

Nah, anyway the steering wheel is on the wrong side, and I can't drive it home.

But the few times I went to Perth, I enjoyed that part of Australia. I remember the O'Briens, a nice family.

Re: For those looking for a restored TR6, your ans

See, that's the problem Ray. You did the unthinkable and looked at those receipts and you know better than to do that. It can make a man crazy, you know.

Wow! $65 Grand US dollars? That's nuts! Not only is that a whole heckuva lot of cash but Pay now get the car later? From half way around the world? Anybody who does that is taking a whole lot on faith!

Rich, Rich, Rich.....

Oh ye of little faith.

This is eBay and the internet, for goodness sake. Look at all those nice folks from Nigeria helping our sweet little old lady's become instantly wealthy over here. This must be a good deal. It's the internet......

You Paul,

If I follow up on that $15,000. paint quote, I'd be real
close to the $65K.

I wonder if the Aussie would consider restoring his TR6
and then swapping me even up for mine?

I wonder if he powder coats as well as I do??

Yeah, your right Paul, That's just crazy talk! What could I have been thinking? It must be true, after all they wouldn't put it on the internet if it wasn't!

He's not crazy. He's just waiting for someone who is.
I'd rather have a $64,000 PI TR6 than the recently sold $50,000 Amphicar.
When an AH 3000 sells for over $100,000, why not see what the market will bear. If it sells, we'll really be talking.

If it sells for that money, there's a banana in RI going on the block......

For those looking to spend upper 20's, I mite be the answer. Laugh at it, but, people can't buy and make one of these very nice for less than that. Oh yeah, you can waller up the road for less, with a swiss cheese frame, and griting your teeth hoping all that bondo don't fall out, and laying down a smoke screen like James Bonds Aston, with K mart tires, and clutch that it would take an NFL running back to push in, and a crankshaft that goes in and out so much when you push the clutch in, it should have a condom on it.
