Done in the early '70s: is that an apology or an excuse! BTW me thinks that whale-tail is a more 90's influenced.

The fiberglass dash/console doesn't look very seventies, either. IIRC, this was built in the US and recently imported to the UK. There really was a lot of work put into this car, although most of us see the results as questionable at best.

I did warn you all , hide the women and children , not for those with heart issues or pregnant .
Warm up the defibrillator paddles it’s going to get ugly

Many Nasty Boy Healeys reflect good workmanship and interesting if sometimes weird designs and perhaps this one does as well. But it is hard to believe that someone had that final result in mind when they began the project. The car is truly hideous.

I actually didn't mean to delete a message but I'm too lazy to retype it, so suffice it to say I don't like this car either.

I remember going to the 1964 New York Worlds Fair and actually seeing what the future was going to look like. This car would have been right at home, along with everything else that they got wrong. I guess nobody would have visited a pavillion where the display consisted of a small flat rectangular screen and a placard that said " In the future, on this device, you will be able to find almost any information and correspond with anyone on a global scale and send moving pictures for the world to see for pennies a day. It will not need any visible connections and my even be pocket sized". Yeah, right.....

And Dick Tracy's two-way wrist TV was even earlier, and presaged smart phones by decades:

Thanks Reid. I knew it was out there in cyberspace somewhere. The powers of the moderator are varied and mighty.

Yes I agree this one in question seems to be quite tasteless. But I have to show the one that I think is very good. But I do remember that it did not fit everyone's taste. Here it is. It does show a lot of work and excellent craftsmanship.
