Hello Healey Friends,

I have an early BT7 (3000 Mk1) that came with the thermocarb (early automatic choke). I'm doing some engine work and have them off the car. Since my car is a driver, and not a concourse candidate, if someone is looking for these to make their car original, please let me know. I have a set of HD6s I can put on my car. If there is no interest, I'll just put the thermocarbs back.

These were rebuilt one year ago by a former SU Carburetor engineer (Birmingham, 1970s-80s) when I first got the car. They work very well and are ready to bolt on and go. Here are a couple of photos:

My first Austin Healey had that thermocarb but it never worked. Someone told me not to fix it as they caused fires. I had a hard time believing that but ended up using a different set of carbs. Can you actually tell if they help the car start?
