Last night I did a chuck roast over an open fire in the Dutch oven. It was fabulous. I tired of keeping the fire going but saw it through. Tonight we have a pork loin stuffed with green apple slices, garlic and celery; seared over an open fire and drizzled with olive oil and a sweet white wine and a very light duzting of cinnamon. It is surrounded by green apple wedges, carrots, celery and potatos in a white wine sauce.

I have no idea how it'll turn out but it smells and tastes good now. I'm cheating by only searing it in the dutch oven and putting it in the electric one inside afterwards. I'm not breaking up firewood in the dark again anytime soon.

So do you ever cook anything elaborate, or do you just keep to these simple heat and eat meals?
hehehehe.. Sounds delicious.
We did grilled chicken and fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli
Tonight was a take-and-bake pizza from Sams Club. We gotta get to a local Hockey game. my Dot, along with a bunch of kids from her grade in school, are singing the National Anthem.

It came out good. Kelly really liked it. Carrots and potatos needed a bit more time but it was a success.

Sam's has some good stuff and you can't beat the pizza deal.

David's potato soup with a leftover sirloin steak sandwich.

After the excitement of tonight (see my other thread here in the pub) I just had some peanut butter toast. Not really hungry.
