I believe I heard on NPR this morning that the prototype car was stolen.

I didn't know Laurel and Hardy were pioneering automotive engineers, look at how small of a parking space they were able to squeeze into.

Heard that too. Funny story... but it seems the MIT development team has gone beyond that car. They have a new one that never parks (and remains on the move as people use it).
 
You don't need to spend that kind of money, get a Peel and you can take it in the store with you and probably use it as a shopping cart! :highly_amused:
