if i replace the flywheel ring gear, do i have to have the flywheel balanced?

i am checking with my machine shop but i thought he did some work on the flywheel when the engine was rebuilt.

Balance not required when replaceing ring gear.

Yes- I wouldn't bother, unless you are going to take up over 10,000 RPM.
