Not really a new member, but a new car Tr8 and a new problem.
went for a drive last nice and shift was real stiff, checked the clutch res. and it was waaaaay low.
So, rebuild? buy new? recommendations on where to get a new one
or to get mine rebuilt?

Step 1: find source of leak.

Tom - take a look under the hood and under the car. Puddles are a pretty reliable indicator; find what's just above the puddle or wet spot.

You're looking at the firewall, where the fluid reservoir is located. Follow those steel lines in all directions. You could have a leak from the clutch slave cylinder (at the clutch), from the reservoir itself, from the master cylinder (at the firewall also), or anywhere along those lines.

When's the last time you checked the fluid level before this happened?

I would just fill the reservoir and bleed the thing. Should only take a couple of minutes to find out if you're good to go or have a leak (though the M/C can fail w/o leaking but I doubt that is your problem).
