What's the difference between the floor pans for a MKI/II Sprite and and MK III/IV Sprite. Can the pans for a later Sprite work on a Bugeye?

I think the answer is yes and yes. but be careful only some items.

More comments??

I have never compared the pans side by side, but one difference would be around the spring pans / mounts. The later cars have a cutout where the front mount of the ½ elliptical springs bolt up. The ¼ elliptical cars don’t have this notch, the spring slides in above the floor pan, and there is a support plate spot welded below the floor pan for some extra support. Other than that I think they are the same. I’ve got some MKI/II pans at the house, I can compare then to my ‘73 midget tonight if you need more specifics.

Later floor pans fit (I used a 1500 because at the time the frogeye ones weren't available) although as said above, they have a cut out to go round the 1/2 eliptic friont spring mount - I welded a bit in to fill it up.
I don't think the support plate underneath i sspot welded to anything AFAIR it's bolted through the floor etc
