Float sticking or "pinholed"?

I have NO love for those "gross" jets, either. Viton tipped "normal" ones are all I'd use or recommend for SU's and Strommies.

so it is still the jets???
the float seems a bit lose but I dont see why that would be an issue
but I do have a volvo Fuel pump may be its to power full

Ditto to all of the above!! Who invented them for SUs anyway!! Gross jets are just what their name implies!!

Sent my carbs off to Joe Curto a couple of years back. When they came back, they leaked (returned them and came back still leaking) AND flooded. changed the fuel pump to a lower pressure unit, and it got better. Installed a HOLEY fuel pressure regulator and the flooding went away. they STILL leak. i have one of those square FACET fuel pumps.

I don't trust Gross jets after my experience with them. I had a 73 B GT with HIF carbs, Facet fuel pump, and pressure regulator. They allowed gas to not only come out the carb body, but flowed out of the charcoal canister! I never could get them to stop flooding the canister, so I threw them out.

Good chance the Volvo pump is too strong.

Your carbs should only need about 2 psi for decent running and depending on what Volvo, that pump may be too strong.

Your carbs can flood with only about 4 psi (about 0.28 bar).

You may need a fuel pressure regulator to bring the pressure down.

~This One~ would be good but I'm not sure about the shipping to Norge...maybe you'll see something local that's similar.

~HERE~ is Joe Curto's site (he's in New York, USA)

I my memorey is that I did get the right presser pump
I just wanted something I could trust and replace quickly
Ill see if there is a pressure regulator on moss uk

tosen takk
