Now that I have finally resolved my carb problem-- sort of--
I am looking for a float chamber for a front mounted AUC 866 for the AH 100-6.. I have an extra rear float chamber if anyone wants a swap or ??

Hello Ron,

if your carburettors are H type which the body number says it is then the tag you have belongs to the original (HD6)carburettors not the ones you have. HD and H float chambers are different so you need a H type float cahmber if you are sticking with the set you have got. From mempory Healey 3000's have horizontal carburettors?, so front and back chambers are the same.

Jedi Knight (???), After much angst and hair pulling, I finally found out what you have elucidated me to... right tag, wrong carbs. The ones that I have appear to belong to a Triumph TR2 - TR 4... this presnts a card whose workings are backward from what is needed (linkage, etc) as well as being too long... by the by, the AUC 866 does have a front and back float chamber that is different. The Healey 6 port (late BN4) mounts the carbs at a 45 degree up angle. Thanks for your interest in my questions. Now I am searching for a used set of REAL AUC 866s. Moss has new ones for $1,600.00 USD. Worst case I will buy those...
Happy LBC'ing, Ron
