Float Bowl "O" ring dimensions for Zenith Strom Ca

Hey Everyone,

I removed the plug at the bottom of the float bowl and the "O" looked like crap. I need to replace them. I went to the NAPA auto store and bought some. I was wondering if the correct dimensions are the ID 11/16 the OD 7/8 and the thickness 3/13. Does that sounds right? When I put them on the plug it seems loose. I could go with the 5/8 ID ring but that looks a little to small. So does anyone have the correct dimensions?

Thanks

Tony

Honestly, I've never found a "right" size in a generic "O" ring for the things. The originals are a good, tight fit. FWIW: If you find one "close enough" and slime it up with Permatex ~HYLOMAR HP~ it seems to work (no guarantees here, as I'm not doin' it!) well enough. On clients' cars I *ALWAYS* get the kits and replace the O-rings with the original size ones... You're dealing with fuel here and that area can be a really good leak, IYSWIM.

How to make a Lotus bark: Fuel leakin' from the bowls, an errant spark and : *WOOF!*
