Fit an exhaust manifold from a 1500 Spitfire?

So is there room to custom bend a down pipe to make it work or is it dumping into the frame to close? Or is it not worth the fab time? I have fitted the dual 1.5 SU manifold from a Spitfire from the UK with a Midget exhaust manifold.

I've had headers before and my experience was that it added more maintenance items.

I don't have first hand knowledge, but I remember reading that the Spit manifold will not clear the Midget's engine bay. Don't have any specifics on why. That double downpipe looks awful beefy...
