I just purchased my first MBG (1977).

The reason for it is I am getting married in September and I wanted that to be "our" (my) car. She agreed to it!! :D

So,
It needs some minor work to get it road ready. Does anyone know of a decently priced mechanic in the southern NH, Northern MA area?

Things the car needs:

Tune up
Front right spine
4 tires
electrical diagnostic (lights are not working)
Two tears in cover need repair.


Things I want to do:
Remove rubber, install chrome bumper (and grill)
change out wheels (currently, poorly painted, white)

Can I afford all of this before my wedding????? Probably not.

Any ideas?

Of course you could afford all the parts you need just don`t let your finance know about it!! She just may want a new Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room & B`room set. At least thats what my wife always used to say; "Well, You bought a new top for your car so I feel I should get something"!!
