Took the wife to a B&B for a respite, only 50 miles away but nice day and good ride. Hope we get home as well as we got here.

Yes Bryan I know GET THAT SIDE MOULDING ON THERE!!! I will I will, it's bugg'n me too.

I like it, very nice and a good overniter as well.

Very nice -- a short overnighter is a good start to your Midget travels. Here's to a safe, successful return trip as well.

Home fine, car was flawless...well, at least no surprises. Taking the Midget made the trip for me, comments wherever we went. We're heading up to northern lower Michigan next week. I'd like to take the Midget along again (we'd need two vehicles for this run, kids are coming too). I think it would be awesome to take little joy ride trips with it but we'll see.
My wife seemed to like it alright, I don't think I'll ever get her to "enthusiast" status but this trip sure helped her appreciate it. Great ride, perfect weather, nice little stops along the back roads soooooo much better than a "normal" vehicle on the interstate for 40 minutes. IMHO

Excellent.

That's a beauty while I know it's a Midget I am a little partial to no molding.

ARRRGH!!! No moulding on a Midget is like sticking things all over a Sprite.... You want a little flash (just a little, mind you !) you buy a Midget.., You want them unadorned, you buy a Sprite..

I have a steel one too. That wood is just too pretty in the evening sunlight, I'm calling it an "improvement" for the time being but it does look boat like, no? This pic was on the way home, you can see my "Chris Craft" dash.

Really really looks good.

Personally, I LIKE the wood dash!! I actually laminated a wood veneer over my steel dash!! (I like the personalized touches in a car...unless it is a concours original!!)

Here's the Chris Craft dash I took out of my '63 when I restored it...it was laminated over my steel dash:

I like the dash. I think it gives it more character, and looks really nice. Plus you don't have to worry about it rusting.
