First Project Car

I recently purchased my first "project" car and I am looking to find some (any) back ground on it. The previous owner parked it in 1983 and isn't even clear on the details. It was sold as a 1958 (he thinks) Austin Healey 100-6. The plate on the firewall says 4477 over 7941 then below that Eng/Car No BN? 57411 or 57417. I am currently looking for any history on the car and will soon be looking for parts. Thanks!

Welcome to the best LBC forum anywhere. Be sure to post photos of your project, and also stop by the A-H group here at the BCF and share your details there. I am sure you will find lots of help from the merry band there.

Enjoy the ride!!

Welcome to the BCF! You should post this question to the Austin Healey Forum; many members don't read the "New Member Introductions". I think the number following the BN will be important to determining exactly what car you have. Is it a two-seater or four-seater? Front disc brakes, or drums? What is the engine number? (not always a good indicator because people swap engines). Pictures, pictures pictures!

You're not too far away. Call Peter for any used stuff you may need. He's also a good source of technical knowledge.
