While I am new to this site I have owned and worked on British cars since 1967. The list of my cars is not as long or impressive as some of the guys here, but it is quite eclectic. My first was a 59 MGA. I owned it for a year or so but had to sell it when I was transfered to Japan. It was followed some 8 years later by a 66 Sunbeam Alpine. It spent almost 2 years in the garage while I rebuilt the thing from the ground up. The PO said that it overheated and her fix was a gallon gug of water in the boot. What the heck, $135 and I drove it home. It was sold when I had to go overseas again. When I returned to the states I found a 52 Jag Mk VII that I worked on for the next 5 years. At the same time my daily driver was a chrome bumper MG midget. It gave loyal if some what dainty service for several years. Most of what I know about SBC's I learned underneath that Midget. I was without an English car for the next 20 years and have recently come by a 77 MGB. I rescued the car before it rotted out compleatly. It had not moved in over a dozen years. We had to winch it on the trailer because the rear brakes had rusted tight.I have not started it's restoration yet but is in out of the weather. I am ready to start, but I need to regain my strengh after having Bypass surgury last year and repair of my sternum this summer. I have some ideas for this car that some of you may find strange. Since my heart surgury I am no longer able to fly, so I thought I may leave it stock on the inside except to dump the single carb and Cat, and paint her in Hawker Hurricane camoflage. Big british roundrls and squadron markings. I just can't find a place to mount the 8 .303 brownings.

Well that's all for now,
Roger
