I finally broke down and installed a new 3 core radiator (replacing my old 2 core) and a new water pump on my 52 TD. My temps would always slowly but surely hit 100 after 20 minutes of driving. Engine was never crackling hot, but steam and coolant were always visible. But after replacing the radiator and the water pump, what a difference. I went for a 1 hour cruise and never hit 80 degrees. All the great info on this site helped sort this out for me. Thanx to you all. I've got another daily driver

Good news! Where'd you get the radiator?

Excellent! It does feel good to get ahead of these issues so that you can get out and drive with less worry.

Ended up getting it from Moss. Turned out to be a perfect fit. Shipping to Hawaii is always killing me, this was worth the bullet
