The engine's coming back from the machine shop any day now.
So I thought that it'd be a great idea to paint the engine compartment while the engine was out.
While I was sanding it down (I had it in the driveway),
it started to rain.
I had the trans supported on blocks,so had to do a quick
run-around to get it back into the garage.
It won't be great, but it'll be better than it was.
I'm getting really tired of this rain!I want to drive my car again.

How can you complain about rain in California? Try working outside in British Columbia!! Tell us more about the car.. After seemingly years with no Cortina's on this site suddenly there are a few..

Makes me so happy!!

...and although I don't actually own this Mk II, I race it pretty often. This is from a 1 Hour at BeaveRun, Pennysylvania. It's for sale, by the way. He also has a fairly decent Mk II 4-door "project" for sale.
Weather here in NJ is getting pretty nice. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

I want my MK-I Lotus Cortina back!

NOW!

I'm trying to do a decent "quick" paint job under the hood,"as long as" I've got the engine out.
Hard to do between rain showers.
Also, painted to soon,& got dust in the paint.
Any job worth doing is worth doing twice (or thrice).
I haven't driven this car since 2005 - getting anxious!
Maybe I'll finally put that 8 Track in!

Where can you secretly mount speakers in these cars, without destroying panels?

Homemade kick panel pods, uder the dash, under the seats (small speakers), and several other places if you look around at it with an open mind.

About the only way to mount speakers is to put them on the rear parcel shelf.
