Thanks to all the encouragement here , the car followed me home last night. It took a while for the seller to sort out some DMV issues but the car is now sitting on the trailer in my driveway. I have lined up a couple of friends to help push it into the garage after work today so I can set off through Tony's awakening list.

Looks like a great project. Is that a remote brake master cyl resevoir? I had a late 67 french spec MGB with a remote master setup and locking steering column. You will have a fine ride when its done! Bob

Certainly some "issues" but it appears there's a LOT of original, unmolested car there.

Thanks. Here is a picture of the car on my MG Recovery Vehicle before we unloaded it last night. It has displaced the Midget from the garage, ready to be brought back to life.
