Finally got my project rolling

Nice job, I've got a set that needs some attention like that if you want to keep in practice. I'll even run them up to you...I'm that kind of a guy...lol Seriously, that is a nice job bud.

I have a gas tank that when I top it off, you can smell the fumes. Another thing on the list when the car comes apart this summer. I'll drop the tank and see what I need to do. I'm interested on how the sealer works. Let us know.

I will keep ya'll informed. I just found the clutch tubing I needed for the new master cylinder to go to the Datsun slave. I ordered the haynes restoration manual. It might be a waste of money but I'm hoping for some good pictures for putting the fornt end back together. I don't want to do that more than once. Hey has anyone changed out their fuel sending unit? My sending unit looks in very good shape but the float has fluid in it and I need another one. I hate to buy the whole unit just for the float.

[/ QUOTE ]Whats cheap? Wheels? or a gas tank. Best price I found was around $200 with shipping on a gas tank, and then its metal and will rust again werever water sets in the bottom of the tank. I will try this stuff first. Wish they made a plastic tank like they have on the newer cars, thats the way to go.

Clutch tubeing. hehe not wheels nor gas tanks.

[/ QUOTE ] Oh, yeah. Got that all squared away and looking sweet now. Bled and everything. Put the drive shaft in and put in 1st and pushed the clutch in and pushed the car and it moved, so I think thats all good. On to other things, now. I got to put the radiator and stuff back on soon and then when I get the gas tank fixed I might be close firing it up, just hot wired of course. Plenty of wiring work to be done. I want to make sure its all mechanically sound before I start on the fenders and other body work. I have a fairly long paved drive to test it all out on.

Jack, Your project looks like it's coming along nicely! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif Is that Jolley Rogers Garage in Texas???
Bob G

Yep that was Jollys warehouse but as I understand it, it is no more. All was cleared out, given away, sold or trashed and some one new has the place now.

I have not been to Jollys real garage at his home which is about an hour or so from the warehoused you saw.

In fact Jolly told me the Sebring racers had even found a new home and were going to hit the track in the future.
