After years of scraping off old paint and sandblasting and repairing things and redoing the suspension, I finally got the brakes finshed today and bled and put the wheels on it and aligned the toe in on the steering. Nice to have it rolling again. Here are some pictures.

[/ QUOTE ] I do have a lot of bodywork to do. I might put the intake and carb (weber) back on to cover the holes as well as the exhaust manifold. I still got to put the gas tank back on and the drive shaft back in it. I'm waitng on some parts to make my own electronic vlotage regulator for the 10v for the gauges instead of that old voltage stabilizer, then I will calibrate the gauge to the sending unit and verify its accuracy. Seems I'm always waiting on something.

Just got some parts in a couple hours ago via UPS to build the power supply. Guess I will be calibrating and installing the gas tank this weekend now. I might actually be firing up the engine soon if all goes well. Hey, anyone have a good picture of exploded view of the front end (fenders and lower cowling and braces etc and how they go back?

Got the new voltage stabilizer built and have enough stuff to build 4 more if need be. Steady 10v output now. Went to clean out the gas tank and found some holes in it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif I don't remember any leaks when I removed it. Now I will have to see about patching and sealing it or getting a new tank. Its always something.

Outstanding, moveing on to the next job is so satisfying. If the holes are very small the tank can be coated inside. Or if your pockets are deap a whole new tank is available.

There are some pin holes. I just bought some stuff called Red Kote off ebay that is supposed to be the best. I will give it a try. If it doesn't work out, I can always get a new tank later on. Swapping one out is pretty simple compared to a lot of jobs on this car

I like those early Midget Rostyles...did they also come as OE equipment on Bugeyes?

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I thought all the bugeyes came with small hubcaps with disc wheels or else wire wheels. I spent a long time redoing those wheels after sandblasting them. Some people didn't like the early rostyles but I like them. I spent a loooong time on them.

I've got a set for one of my early Midgets - if I ever get around to restoring them!
