The last is what it mostly looks like in the daytime, but the color does shift a lot in depending on the light.

If youd like more pics, Ive finally updated my site (link in sig)

Now there real fun begins. What will be at the top of your mind is don't scratch the car.

That color will make the chrome POP!!

Nice job, are you going back with original upholstery.

I always loved the toggle switches on this year.

Wow Niki- you and your husband have been busy. That looks great - great job on the website too, can't wait to hear about when you fire up the engine.

just looked at your website,

They aren't hornets, they are mud dauber wasps. Harmless to people.

The catch and paralyze spiders for a living. They pack them mud tubes with spiders and eggs, and when the eggs hatch, they have a nice warm lunch waiting for them.

It 's fun to watch them build the nest. They fly off and come back sounding all the world like a Lawn-boy mower with a hernia carrying this spider, which they proceed to stuff in the tube.

Little soap and water takes care of the mud left over.

Yeah, that was the idea. I can't wait to install all the pretty shiny bits just to see that effect.

Thanks. Well, we have period correct seats which were reupholstered in black vinyl. Not sure if the grain is correct though. The car came with new black carpet and door cards, but I think the cards are intended for a spitfire looking at the VB catalog. The carpet on the cards doesn't match the pile of the replacement carpet. The rest of the panels I will be making myself. I have already made a headliner using modern black headliner material. I have already redone my dash board. And the non original wood dash that came with it has everything installed. I will probably go with MkII sunvisors, since I can't find a MkI source. Besides, with the headliner they'd need to beblack anyway.

It's kinda sad. I'm going for originality, but there's so much on the car that won't be. I mean the paintjob alone screams "this is a 21st century custom."

I actually have footage of that. Just haven't had the chance to upload any video.

Well that's just what the diff looked like. The nest inside was cone shaped, with the bottom looking like a traditional honey comb. Inside the carbs though were two dead bees, they were about a centimeter in length. My husband said the corpses resembled those of hornets

This makes me want to get workin on my MK1 even more!!!!!

Very sexy color. Good luck getting it all back together without any scratches.

Well then you definitly had something different in the other places then...

Always carry a can of carb cleaner or brake cleaner when you go junkyard diving!

Nice going, blue is my favorite color and I never saw too many blue GT6's. Keep the pictures coming.
