Finally got my "Chrome" trim on.

Well, it took over three weeks for the shop who finally said they could help me, to find it. I sent them on a mission to find me a stick on chrome side trim for the '71. I have new chrome strips that I was going to put on, but decided that since this is being driven pretty much daily now, why risk a ding.
These are exactly like the originals. What do you think?

Looks good from 5 feet.

Looks great....Is your front right side marker crooked or is it the picture?

Looks good - but I've gotta ask: How many $'s? The original trim pieces are so cheap they can be changed for almost nothing.

I just went and looked Ron. (thanks) Nope.. it is on straight. Must have been the shadows.
At least they aren't on backwards.

But.. now I do notice that the left side one is sitting too high. Humm something to do tomorrow.

Firstly Tony, I didn't want to go to the trouble of drilling the holes and installing the doodads and risk drilling in the wrong spot. To get someone else to do it would have cost me a bunch, not that I could find anyone to do it anyway. Unfortunately, one roll was two feet short of what I needed so I had to get two, but the shop owner kept the rest and just charged me a bit. One roll was $41.00 including the 15%tax. He charged me $40.00 to put it on. If I remember correctly, I paid $45.00 for the real deal at a British car Swap in the spring.
I think I did OK.

Not bad - Makes sense especially considering the holes could've been drilled incorrectly or the paint chipped......smart move on that end & from the photo, it looks pretty close to original.

& those are Canadian prices to boot!
