Well I have been away for quite a while. It's pretty busy forming a corporation. But I have finally finished the car that we get to play with. Check it out, 550 hp with 549 pounds of torque to the rear wheels the way it is set up.

We did a scientific test and found that when we use other manufactureres wax on this car, it will get 4 miles to the gallon, BUT when using the American Shine Liquid Carnauba Wax, we get 5 miles to the gallon! Pays to keep your carr clean! Now I can get back to working on my 4 LBC's, and get one to give me 31 miles to the gallon!. Just click on the attachment to view the car.

If anyone is near Las Vegas During Auto Week, (Nov1-4) We will be a SEMA Exhibiter at booth 13058, come on by and say "Hi" and ask for your free t-shirt.

Dave

To further improve things use British petrol (i.e. gasoline) an instant and effortless 25% improvement in miles per gallon regardless of how good or bad the previous performance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Pretty slick Chevelle Dave. Good luck with it.

You mean 283 Zack? The 289 was a Ford motor. Buddy of mine in high school had a 66 convertible with a 283 and an auto, was a nice car. White with a red custom leather interior and a white top. I've always loved the Chevelles. Guy down the street and around the corner from me has a 69 396 convertible with a 4 speed, triple black. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Welcome back Dave! Long time no see. Nice ride! (Is it a British Chevy? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif )

My Bad, your right scott...To many cars gets kinda confusing after awhile..

Zack

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gifWell here are a few things that I have foound out from a scientific standpoint about my Chevelle.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gifWhen you apply the brakes slightly, you can do some of the most wicked burnouts ever.

When you stab the gas pedal without brakes applied, you quickly empty the carburator floatbowls, but it will propell you into the fourth dimension very quickly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif

And finally, when the gas gage register "E", do not and I repeat in this car I find that you do NOT pass the next gas station in search of a better price. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

AHHHHH the fun of the automobile.

Good ole American Muscle...

I remember doing burnouts with the front brakes locked on my big block Mustang. To a 17 year old kid things don't get much cooler than that. 17 year old girls don't seem to think that kind of thing is to cool though. I had to listen to crap all night about how the tire smoke that wafted into the car had caused her to smell bad the whole night at a party.

Absolutely amazing how much gas one of those motors can gulp. I think I was getting about 7 or 8 mpg out of that big 390 with a 650 Holley double pumper and a bunch of other go fast goodies.

NIce looker Dave! Reminds me of my first car my Sr year in HS, worked at an Auto parts place after school, so everyone was into cars. I ran a '68 Chevelle 327/325 factory motor & a guy ran a black '67 396. He's usually take me out of the whole, but once the revs got up on the small block I'd usually catch him.

Oh yea, the sweet sounds & smell of buring rubber! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
